I am looking for a speaker on application consolidation, ideally from the North East, and with a Public Sector focus, for our SOCITM North East Region meeting on 16th September in Durham.

#PSN The seven councils in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and Durham have started a project that will examine if there are benefits of adopting a co-ordinated approach to linking up publicly funded communications networks in the area to support future public service delivery models.

As well as being able to come along to our meetings, members benefit from · representation on SOCITM’s National Advisory Committee, the Local Government CIO Council and Socitm Futures · local joint research activities · access to local online discussion groups · membership of Codeworks Connect, giving access to events and activities from the North East’s digital centre of excellence Our last meeting, in September at Ramside Hall Hotel in Durham was sponsored by Cable and Wireless and looked at cloud computing and the public sector network (PSN).
